Downloading and Printing QR Codes

If you've purchased digital tags or want to reprint a lost tag, you can download the high-quality QR code file from your dashboard.

Accessing the Download

You can find the download option in two places:

  1. From the Tags Page:

    • Find the tag in the list.

    • Click the menu (three dots).

    • Select Download QR.

  2. From the Asset Details:

    • Go to the Assets page and open the relevant asset.

    • In the "Attached Tags" section, click the tag ID (e.g., ABC123).

    • In the popup window, click Download QR Code.

File Format

  • The file is downloaded as an SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic).

  • Why SVG? It ensures the QR code remains crisp and scanable at any size—whether you print it on a tiny key fob or a giant poster.

Printing Recommendations

To ensure your tags last and scan correctly:

  1. Material: Use waterproof stickers or vinyl if the item will be outdoors or handled frequently.

  2. Size:

    • Minimum recommended size: 2cm x 2cm (0.8" x 0.8").

    • Smaller sizes might be hard for some cameras to focus on.

  3. Contrast: Always print black on white (or dark on light). Do not invert colors (white code on black background) as some scanners may not recognize it.

Testing

Always test your printed code before applying it permanently!

  1. Print a test copy on regular paper.

  2. Open your phone's camera.

  3. Scan the code to ensure it leads to the correct MyTags URL.
