Connect Slack for Real-Time Alert

Integrate MyTags with Slack to receive instant notifications in your team's channels. This is perfect for teams managing shared assets or for consolidating your alerts

Prerequisites

  • A Slack Workspace.

  • Admin permissions (or permission to manage apps) in Slack.

Step 1: Get Slack Webhook URL

  1. Visit the Incoming Webhooks page on the Slack Marketplace.

  2. Click Add to Slack.

  3. Choose the channel where you want notifications (e.g., #general or create a new mytags-alerts channel).

  4. Click Add Incoming Webhooks integration.

  5. Copy the Webhook URL (it starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/...).

Step 2: Configure MyTags

  1. Open the MyTags Integrations page.

  2. Select the Slack tab.

  3. Click the Add button.

  4. Paste your Incoming Webhook URL into the input field.

  5. Click Save.

Step 3: Test the Integration

Once saved, your integration will appear in the list.

  1. Click the Paper Plane icon (Test) next to your webhook.

  2. Check your Slack channel. You should receive a test message confirming the connection.
